Indoor rowing course
This time of year is a tough time to row – you can often find yourself rowing in the cold and wind, as well as rain and rough water. If you fancy keeping up your fitness and love for rowing this winter whilst staying comfortably warm inside, then you can join us for our specialised strength, conditioning and fitness skills sessions in the gym!
You’ll learn skills on the ‘erg’ or rowing machine, as well as a circuit programme to keep you fit, strong, and optimise your on-the-water rowing. Rowing on the erg is one of the best ways to refine your technique in the boat.
You can take this course on its own, or as a supplement to your on-the-water rowing lessons.
Our coaches will guide you through a programme based on competitive rowers’ land training routines.
The indoor sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings at 7pm and Saturday afternoons at 12pm. You will have a choice of one of the two.
Overview of the course:
- 1 hour per class
- Maximum 20 rowers per class
- Learn rowing machine basics and technique
- Circuit training for rowing fitness and strength
- Take things at your own speed
- Coaching and guidance from our instructors
- A great atmosphere!
